Late night television is ALWAYS a hidden treasure chest of copper, silver and gold. SPUN (2004) is one of these pieces of gold I discovered a long time ago, it's not just because it completely sensationalizes meth addicition, but because it's artistically stunning, with brittany murphy's wardrobe and john leguizamo's body in them tight skinny leather pants. Also, mickey rourke gives an amazing performance.
mena suvari used resin on her own teeth, that had to be professionally cleaned off after filming, to make them look grungier. If that's not dedication to a pretty small independant film, I don't know what else is. Right cast, and a fucking awesome location.
For a film shot in only 22 days, it looks fucking amazing.
